The Downers Grove Park District has established itself as a leader in providing high quality park areas, facilities and recreation experiences to residents of all ages, interests and abilities. The District embraces the philosophy that parks and recreation services are not discretionary items, but an investment that adds value to the lives of people and the community. The Park District serves almost 50,000 residents, oversees nearly 600 acres of parks and facilities and provide recreational programs to over 57,000 participants annually.

The newly improved 50-acre McCullom Park offers amenities including fields for baseball, softball, and soccer, 8 dedicated and 8 temporary pickleball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe courts, lighted sand volleyball and basketball courts, a large playground, and an 18-hole mini golf course with concessions and restrooms. The park also features a 1.2-mile walking path, outdoor fitness equipment, and wooded picnic areas.

With just a point and a click, you can visit the Downers Grove Golf Club and reserve a tee time, learn how the District is preserving and protecting natural resources such as Lyman Woods and Belmont Prairie, or start on the path to a healthier lifestyle at the 69,000 sq. ft. state of the art Recreation and Fitness Center. There are so many ways to play at the Downers Grove Park District.

150-Acre Lyman Woods

Lyman Woods offers 150 acres of oak woods, prairie, and marsh habits that supports over 300 species of native plants.
